Candidates, desirous of joining NPCIL need to apply through ‘Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Training School & its affiliates' advertisement.

The candidates will be short listed for selection interview based on ‘Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)' score valid for year 2006 (GATE-2005 or GATE-2006).
Selected applicants will undergo one-year orientation training program at Nuclear Training Centres located at Kaiga (Karnataka), Kalpakkam (Tamilnadu), Kudankulam (Tamilnadu) Rawatbhata (Rajasthan) and Tarapur (Maharashtra) starting in September 2006.

Successful completion of one-year orientation training program may entitle a trainee for ‘Post Graduate Diploma' certification through ‘Homi Bhabha National Institute' (HBNI - a deemed university). This may also earn credits, for a few trainees, towards pursuing M.Tech from HBNI.

A few selected applicants will be directly sponsored for two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for pursuing M.Tech at selected IITs in specific specializations starting in July 2006. On successful completion of training courses offered by DAE, the trainees will be appointed as Scientific Officers.
